Sanitary service extension |
Please, people from EU Countries don't forget your Sanitary Card Communitary Extension (E111) which entitles you to medical assistance in Italy (note that in Italy the Sanitary Service is not totally free, you might be charged a part of the fees).
People from other Countries, please ask to your Sanitary Service or Italian Government Representative information about the agreements between your own Country and Italy.
We STRONGLY suggest you to effect a travel insurance. If you have a cold or a slight headache, go directly to the Chemist's, if you think you can manage with language. You don't need any prescription for aspirin and the most common medicines.
Please take with you those medicines you think you might need during the whole Event.
If you are looking for a pharmacy (in Italian: FARMACIA), then you have to look for a green or red cross on the streets. There are many of them so it will be quite easy to find one. Every pharmacy is open during normal shopping hours, but there are some who are open also during the night and during holidays.
In case of real emergency you can call: 118
