Summer Course 2003

The Summer Course “From Azimuth to Zoom”, was attended by 30 students coming from different European universities of scientific subjects, local students were involved as well.

The main aim of the course was to give an insight of the world that is behind our “lenses”, our technical instrumentation; modern technology allowed to enter and discover the micro-world and the macroscopic world.

Professors of our Politecnico di Torino (Italian leading university in the Engineering field) and of the Astronomical Observatory of Turin lectured during the course.
We welcomed, as special guest, an expert photographer from California, Ken Rockwell.
The European Space Agency (ESA) sent one of the lecturers of the ESTEC research center in Netherlands to deliver a lecture.
